My Kitchen Board

Terms of service

Last updated 7 September 2026

Using My Kitchen Board means agreeing to what follows. It is short on purpose.

Your account

You sign in with a Google account, and you are responsible for what happens under it. You must be old enough to hold that Google account and to agree to these terms where you live.

A household is shared. Anyone you invite can see and change the household's recipes, plans and lists, so invite people you actually mean to give that to.

What you put in

Your recipes, photos and notes stay yours. We do not claim ownership of them. What you do give us is permission to store them, and to show them to the people you have chosen — your household, and, for a recipe you publish, everyone.

Publishing a recipe makes it and its photo readable by anyone and indexable by search engines. Ratings and comments are public and carry your display name. You can unpublish a recipe later, but you cannot un-see it: copies may persist in search caches and in the hands of whoever already read it.

You must have the right to post what you post. Do not upload someone else's photos or copyrighted text as your own. A recipe's method is generally not copyrightable; the words and pictures someone wrote around it are. When you import from a site, credit it — the app keeps the source link for exactly that reason.

What you may not do

  • Post anything unlawful, abusive, or designed to harass another person.
  • Use comments for advertising or spam.
  • Try to reach another household's data, or probe the service for a way to.
  • Automate the service in a way that degrades it for other people.

We may remove content or close an account that does these things.

Imported recipes and generated photos

Importing reads a page you point us at, and it is often wrong in small ways — a quantity misread, a step merged. Check what it produced before cooking from it.

Photos the app draws are illustrations produced by a model. They show an idea of the dish, not the dish you will make, and never a real photograph of real food.

Food is your responsibility

This is a planner, not a source of nutritional or medical advice. Nutrition figures are estimates assembled from ingredient data and can be materially wrong. Allergen information is only as good as what was typed in. If someone in your household has an allergy or a medical condition, verify ingredients yourself — do not rely on this app for that.

The service itself

My Kitchen Board is provided as it is, without a warranty that it will be available, correct, or free of faults. We may change or discontinue features. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from your use of it — including lost data, a spoiled meal, or a plan that did not save.

Keep your own copy of anything you would be upset to lose.

Ending it

You can stop at any time by deleting your account in Settings → Household. What deletion removes is described in the privacy policy.

Changes

These terms may change; the date at the top says when they last did. Continuing to use the service after a change means accepting it.
